    Mahua Devi is a deity worshipped by the Baiga people, often associated with nature, fertility, and sustenance. She is personified as the spirit or goddess of the Mahua tree, which is sacred to the Baiga community and provides food and shelter. The tree has various uses, including medicine, oil, candles, and flour; its flowers are even used to prepare distilled liquor. The Baiga community believes that by honoring Mahua Devi with prayers, she watches over them, avoiding sickness, bad luck, and natural disasters.
